What we cover
Manufacturing defects. Something went wrong during production — a structural problem, a defect in the wood, something that shouldn’t have shipped. That’s our problem. We replace those boards.
Every situation gets looked at on its own. Not all issues are the same. Reach out, show us what happened, and we’ll figure it out.
What’s not covered
Wear and tear. Boards get used. Knife marks, scratches, surface wear over time — that’s not a defect. That’s a cutting board doing its job.
Water damage. Wood doesn’t do well when it’s soaked, left wet, or run through a dishwasher. That’s a care problem, not a production problem. Check out our care instructions to keep your boards in good shape.
Modified boards. Cut it down, drilled into it, routed it — once the board has been altered we can’t stand behind the original product anymore.
The claim process
Seven days. That’s your window from the day the order arrives. Don’t wait two weeks and then reach out.
Take clear photos of the issue. That’s the first thing we need. Contact us, describe what happened, attach the photos. We’ll review it and get back to you.
What happens after
We look at the photos. If it’s a manufacturing defect, we replace the boards. No hoops. No back and forth for the sake of it.
If we need more info we’ll ask. Otherwise we move fast.
